Kru Max Madorsky
The next day, Max started dieting and trying to get healthier. He lost about 40 pounds working out at a fitness gym with the help of private lessons and personal trainers, but he was still bullied and defenseless, even though he still weighed 250 pounds he was harmless and terrified of conflict or confrontation. This just made the bullies see him as an easier target. After things got violent one day, and Max was beaten up at school, he decided enough was enough and looked for martial arts academy’s to learn self defense, self confidence, and continue his fitness journey.
After searching around and trying some different martial arts, Max settled on Muay Thai as the best for self defense, weight loss, and self confidence. He started his journey in 2010 weighing about 250 pounds, hoping to simply lose weight and grow some confidence. In 2011, Max had started training for MMA (Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, and Muay Thai) as a way to continue this journey. In 2012 things started to take off. At 16 years old, he had done 10+ Jiu-Jitsu tournaments with several 1st places and earned his blue belt. He also started competing in Muay Thai for the first time, and became the Colorado Muay Thai State Champion in his age and weight that year in the advanced division (1+ years of training) Max went on to win the state tournament in 2013 and 2014 (age 17 and 18) before transitioning to his MMA career with a 5-0 amateur record in Muay Thai, and becoming the head Muay Thai coach of a local Colorado gym.
Competing in MMA was a fun, three year stint for Max. Max was a founding member of the Elevation Fight Team at 16 years of age, and competed from the age of 18-21 (2014-2017) he went 4-4 as an amateur, capturing a local title and competing for three others. In fact, every loss on his record except for one was a title fight. With many more fights/wins in Muay Thai and kickboxing, At this point, Max was ready for a break. He decided to take a break from competing, focus on training, and get his bachelor degree in Business.
Max never stopped training Jiu Jitsu, earning his purple belt under the Renzo Gracie Lineage. However, Muay Thai was always his TRUE love. At the end of 2019, Max had finished his bachelor degree and decided to travel to Thailand to experience his love of Muay Thai in its homeland. Even though he thought competing was behind him, during the last week of his trip visiting the Fairtex gym in Pattaya, Thailand, his trainers asked if he’d like to compete. Max excitedly agreed and won his short notice fight by K.O. at a full moon festival north of Bangkok. Max only had one week left in Thailand before traveling home after the fight, and his trainers asked “would you like to fight again?” So six days later, after a two year break from competing, Max was lucky enough to fight a second time in less than a week. Max won that fight by knockout, and was now 2-0 as a professional Muay Thai fighter in Thailand.
It was time for Max to travel back to America but the Fairtex gym made him an offer he couldn’t refuse, to be part of their professional fight team in Thailand. Max went home to the U.S. to get his things, and moved to Pattaya, Thailand, living at the Fairtex facility and focusing on training and preparing for the next fight. Less than four months after moving to the paradise, Covid struck.
Covid brought Max back to the states indefinitely, but he did whatever he could do to keep his dream of fighting and teaching martial arts alive. Max moved to Savannah, Georgia and took a coaching job working with MMA fighters and boxers to keep sharpening his own skills and teaching methods.
In 2021, Max was part of the birth of Tulum Muay Thai (now Escondido Thai Camp) being one of the first coach’s to lead classes, build curriculum, and even competing on the first ever fight event they held, Rumble In The Jungle. For two years, Max went back and forth between the states and Mexico to live in Tulum with the fight team, and eventually becoming a WBC certified judge for their fight events.
At the end of 2022, Max traveled back to Thailand to chase his dream of fighting in the homeland and spent 14 more months there. His dreams were altered when he was hit by a car, taking him out of competing for a long time. Now, Max is back in the states to share his knowledge, and get his body healthy to make another run at competiton”
